Questions, answered

No silly
questions.

01Who is Siren mentoring for?

This beginner programme is for women and non-binary people who want to get into mixing, build confidence and find their sound.

02Do I need my own equipment?

Equipment requirements will depend on the session format. Tell us what you have access to when you enquire; not owning a full setup should not stop you from getting in touch.

03Do I need experience?

No fixed level is assumed. The point is to meet you where you are, whether you are touching decks for the first time or tightening up a set for your next opportunity.

04What music can I bring?

Bring the music you care about. Siren's founders move through drum & bass, jungle, 140, garage and wider bass sounds, but the programme begins with your interests rather than forcing one genre.

05When and where does it happen?

Courses start in January and April 2027 and run for six weeks on Monday evenings: 5–6pm, 6–7pm or 7–8pm. Each session lasts one hour. Exact dates, venue and availability will be confirmed with you before booking.

06Is it free?

The six-week course costs £60, equivalent to £10 per one-hour session. Enquiring does not commit you to paying or reserve a place. If you want to attend with a friend, we’ll confirm the format and price together.
